KPMG updated 401k policy: 6-8% contribution, based on TC not base salary, with zero required contribution by the employee. Thoughts? Seems to be market leading..

I like it, but I don’t like that they kept a vesting period & the match is done annually instead of per paycheck.

likesmart

This, Deloitte vests 2 years faster

It's better than zero but the vesting period means most employees won't get anything

smart

Are they keeping the pension or does this replace it?

No more contributions to pension, just 5% annual interest

Sounds like most people will be at 6%

One item borrowers shopping for mortgages get too caught up in is rate. Most borrowers don’t know how to read a loan estimate and get taken advantage all the time. Just because a lender/bank offers you a low rate doesn’t mean it’s best deal. Most cases, especially now since rates have gone up, you are being charged points for some of these lower rates in the 4s. If you don’t know or understand discount points feel free to shoot me a message and I can help you review estimate and see if can beat
