This is gonna sound real elitist but typically the smaller the company, the less resources and the staff tend to not be as “with it”. For type A or A++ students in the real world, it can be hard to work with people who just don’t care or just don’t know as much. Big company culture is always driving growth and hard work, smaller companies just kinda go with the flow and figure it out (or make a mess of it). it could be different in a good way or in a bad way. Depends on how you feel about the work you’re doing every day and if you even care that much.
Candidly, I am at a point in my career where my job is just a paycheck for me. It’s no longer exciting but I need and want it. At the same time, my current job is quite a pressure can. Known devil though.

What’s the $200m company current at in funding / acquisition plans / ipo?
I worked for a $150m company that just got another round of funding and that place got psycho quick. A string of bad acquisitions and the economy made that place a pressure cooker for stress. I’d do your due diligence to see where the company is in their plans to grow, $200m some companies can just be ramping up for some big growth plans.
Could be an amazing time if you’ve got great leaders who can actually make the growth targets and I enjoyed the size of the company. Big enough to have the resources you need but small enough that I would rub elbows for the c-suite at events and didn’t feel like just a number.
Find out more about the resources and support that you will have in order to succeed in your role. Smaller companies are often "scrappier" and may not always have the established processes and structure in place.
The organisation / management's openness to new ideas or change. Companies have a tendency to say they are open to new people coming in to change or establish better processes but it doesn't always happen due to too much red tape or just a lack of commitment to change.
It's not so much the dollar value that's the shock but employee count. If you're going from a 100k company to 80k not much diff but if it's from a 400k employee count down to 5k then that'll be a culture shock.
