Lately it's felt like we have neutral moments or fights, I think we both want to see this change but don't know how to take the first step. What do you and your partner do to bring positivity and excitement in your marriage?

I have lost so many Friends and my social circle have reduced a lot after the work from home culture have started. Is it same for everyone? Or you guys keep in constant touch. Just wanted to know if anyone in the same boat.

I am a 34 year old female with no kids . I have PCOD and my husband has been having back problems for many years now and so we haven’t been able to have kids just because we aren’t trying enough .I am not sure if I will ever be able to have kids. Do you think as we age it’s important to have kids and does it make your life less fulfilled if you don’t ??

I have to support my family financially. Usually my mom cooks for the family so groceries only cost $1200/month. However, my mom is abroad for 2 months so it’s just my siblings and they can’t cook so they’ve been using my card for doordash. I think there are days when they spend $100+/day. It’s frustrating because my mom already told them the daily budget repeatedly. I’ll go bankrupt at that rate. However, it’s not like I can take my card back since I don’t want them to starve…

How do people make friends here? I have the ones i grew up with and a couple I made in the last couple of years (neighbors/through mutual friends) but I generally find that people here just stick with their social circles

I'm a product engineer and it's hard to turn off work mode at the end of the day, I think of how products *should* be packaged when I'm shopping and can't understand why my wife doesn't care 🤷

My parents got divorced 6 years ago and my dad kinda gave up on life. His American dream was to graduate with an actuary degree (which he did 2 years ago) and find a corporate job but it never happened...He gave up on life to a point that has no food and is behind rent because he doesn't want to get a $15 an hour job or a maintenance/painting job. He doesn't do drugs or alcohol and my wife is going to kill me if she finds out again that I gave him money again.

Anyone else extreme ? Love the fit life and sometimes will do 2 a days and be ok with eating one meal, but other times will spend the day barely moving and eating on my sofa. Can’t escape fatty life

My anxiety has been at bay after changing my job and just feeling like I HAVE control over my life. But now it's back because I feel like I'm behind in other aspects of my life (I.e dating). I have so many friends getting engaged and I just feel... anxious since I am SO single. I'm 27, and I know I'm at that age where people do but it just sucks. I've been on the apps too and it's just... more demotivating honestly than anything else

Does anyone have family members who constantly demand money because they feel like you’re rich now because you’re a lawyer? I’ve always wanted to be in a position to help my family but we all live in the high COL city so my salary doesn’t carry me as far as it would elsewhere. I’ve given a detailed summary of all of my expenses yet every month one family member in particular comes to me for rent money (not some, the full amount, and they refuse to get a job). It has become quite the burden.

Has anyone dealt with the death of a parent while working in public accounting? How did it go? My dad is probably going to pass soon and trying to prepare, I guess.

I went through my gf’s phone and found out she had a crush on my best friend when we first started dating (over a year ago). I suspected this at first but it hurts to have it confirmed and see her telling her friends about him. I’m not sure how I should feel since I went out of line to look through her phone.

My last therapist keeps coming up in my mind. I left her when I moved to a new area before COVID dug in and frankly it felt like leaving a girlfriend. She also disclosed in the final session that she was a member of AA and knew several of the people I occasionally discussed from the rooms. Her knowledge of the program certainly built trust with me early on, but it has been two years. I discussed it with my current therapist but she’s still in there. Any advice?

I will be saving a lot. Problem is younger sister who is mentally draining and steals my things, makes nasty comments towards me lives there and her bedroom will be right next to mine. She once got me arrested for no reason. What should I do?
