Hi! Excited we have a space finally :)
Hey fishes,
Let’s say Brillio gave some joining bonus and if we are leaving within an year we need to pay it back.
So does it mean I need to put papers after one year or is that okay to put papers after 9 months, so serving 3 months notice makes it one year.
Please let me know if anyone had an idea about this.

Yes OP. I’m sorry for the stress and sadness you and your family are going through right now. My dad passed in March this year. I let my team know, and I took a 3 month leave of absence to grieve, deal with the financial/admin side of it, hang out with mom. Kind of wish I took longer. But, it helped so much.
I’m sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I have - lost my dad several yrs ago and my mom a few years ago. I knew it was coming but it was much sooner than expected. I am very sorry for your situation as it is horrible. The Firm/teams were all very supportive about taking time off. Suggest communicating with your teams if you feel comfortable doing that. Take the time off you need. I took off about a week for each parent - for me it was just better to get back to work to be distracted. Though there were definitely days for the few months following where it was difficult to concentrate.

I lost my dad after a period of illness, while I was working. I took FMLA so I could be with my family in his last days. I took a leave of absence after his death until I was in the headspace to work. I worked with HR to make the arrangements, and they and my LOB (via my coach) were understanding and I never felt pressure to work.
