Layoffs are coming with no clarity from leadership. I’m only told to manage through it. What does that mean? Give false hope and “focus on the work” or some other bullshit?

Need some suggestions: My current company is on a layoff spree and 2 rounds are already done and I can foresee another round coming very soon.

While I am trying to switch to other companies, I’m not able to reveal the real reason from my side for the job change, as if I say, it’s because of layoff fears than it’ll reduce my negotiation power.
