Leaving a decent firm only 6 months after lateraling. Had a bad depressive episode and realized it wasn’t the right fit due to poor WLB and decided I wanted to go in house. I am now inundated with interviews already but starting to feel guilty due to the partners at this firm making an effort to invest in me. Is this normal? Am I making a mistake? Anyone been there?

I work in a midsize firm and we have the basic subscription to westlaw, which doesn’t include the ability to see filed briefs, motions, etc without incurring additional costs. I’m wondering if there is a service in the NJ/PA area that gives you access to previously filed motions and briefs? So if I’m drafting a summary judgment I could search the service and find a similar one. If this doesn’t exist.. I think I found the next million dollar idea lol

I’ve been negotiating a settlement on behalf of a client. OP is a major corp. we’ve gone back and forth for months, almost a year. Finally came to a final agreement and we’re reviewing for final signature. Then client is reviewing and decides they want something else modified. It’s a point of contention. OP has said no. Should I communicate this to client before pushing back against OP’s rejection of the mod?
