I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I put in 6%, company puts in 8%, plus pension. Wish I could contribute more, but my mortgage and utilities want me to contribute less it seems.
I'm at 23 percent for 401k and 10 percent employee stock program (we get a discount)
My company does a 4% base contirbution then matches dollar for dollar for up to 6%
So i put 6% my company puts 10%
Currently put in 14% with a company match of 5% up to $7500 a year.
This is the time where if you can increase your % then do it. Market is down but it will go back up. If you are not near retirement keep putting as much as you can afford. You will be rewarded for “buying the dips”.
For now, I'm just doing 5% to get the full match. My company matches dollar-for-dollar up to 5%, which feels pretty generous these days.
17% maxes me out, includes 50+ catch up. Employer matches 10% a year.
My employer matches 2:1, up to a total match of 8%, but we also get 3% pension benefit.. 10% is great.
