This is low low low even for LCOL.
I’m around the same. Recently started
Base is 105k
26k sign on Bonus year 1
20k sign on year 2
20 shares of stock
Non tech - program manager role
MBA
5 years of experience
Will be in the city of Seattle
I too came from consulting (KPMG) and I learned a lot in that world. This is my first jump to 6-figures. Hoping to get a good bonus next year and promoted within 2 years.
I mean, you survived in Bay Area with 82.5K. You’ll be okay with a $120K in Seattle.
But I do think you should negotiate up.
Base matters > bonus IMHO
You guys realize that a L6 post-MBA non tech PgM had a base of $125k in 2020. But you guys think a L5 with 4 YOE should be getting 135k+ base? Like what?
Congrats on the offer!
Thank you!!
low if HCOL city

After your edit - seems very low for Seattle

Where at?
That base is low
Congrats and best of luck!
Seems on par from a few people I have talked to in Texas in same role.
Recently got an offer at L5 as well. Not in Program Mgmt. HCOL - base was 160
Just re read your comment about it not being program management! What was the role if you don’t mind sharing?

In a vacuum, I agree that 102 should be at like 120ish instead.
With the context of your current comp, 82 TC SF versus 125 plus RSU in Seattle is at least doubling.
Up to you how you play this. Personally unless you have a backup I would play it safe. As in maybe ask for 110k base, or maybe accept as is.
This is very helpful - thank you!
