Looking at FT editing positions in LA (or remote) and rates seems extremely low. From $18/hr! But usually between $36/hr and topping out at $100k, but those seem rare. Most high end rates seem like $75k. What's the deal? Have FT rates dropped? And very few Sr. Video Editor positions.

Just got a freelance gig for $1250 for 2 shoot days, but they’re asking for hourly rate for prep days. Not sure what rate to give them & if I should base it on a 10 or 12 hr hourly rate. After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

I am defending an eviction for a client who has given possession of the property (as of Nov. 30). Plaintiff’s complaint has one claim – possession. They did request relief for attorney’s fees. NJT/Final Hearing commenced 10/27, was only 30 min and was therefore continued to 12/20. Plaintiff had counsel at that time but they are no longer represented.  I want to file something notifying Court that Plaintiff claim is now moot, making sure that judgment is not entered that hurts (cont'd)..

Website question: is it bad to have a few spots that are over five years old? I keep them down at the bottom and the majority are much newer so they sort of serve as a ‘best of’ my older work.
