Also where in the world do you live where it’s fine not having a car that doesn’t have an EY office haha

Yes, this was my question too!!

It's not the EY office you would be concerned about. But rather going to client sites. I imagine you're a client-facing employee.
How would you get there? Our travel/expense policy is that the distance from your house to client-site subtracted from the distance from your house to the EY office is the mileage you can reimburse for. So if client sites are all closer than the EY office, you're on your own.
Don't think EY will allow you to get a rental to go to a client site when the client site is closer to you than the office.

This will vary so much by team. The move here is to get it in writing that you will be remote and any time you need to go in to the office for whatever reason will be fully covered

I joined EY during the pandemic but before that I lived like 8hrs away from a D office but 10 min away from an airport and I would just fly out of that airport and never had to go to the office.
Which strange place is this!
Depends on your client which I’m guessing you don’t know yet? No one In audit works at the actual EY office unless their whole team is working from there which is rare. I know some teams like to work from the office on Fridays as opposed to their client office but that was before Covid

Doesn't change that the author doesn't have a car and doesn't want to get one. How would they travel?
