Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Thinking about accepting a software engineering offer for BCG Digital Ventures . can anyone working there tell me about the work culture, learning opportunities, and exit opps . Im also interviewing with Zillow and am deciding wether to wait or take an offer. I’m really intrigued by the idea of building ventures and learning alot on the technical and entrepreneurial sides, but the opportunity to work for a tech unicorn is also very intriguing

I got this chair from Costco for 100 bucks and really like it. Prior to this chair I spent nearly 600 on a very high end chair. At the end of the day, it wasn’t a whole lot more comfortable.
Thanks. That’s the chair I have, but couldn’t find any identification markings on it. And only $70!
This is what I have. Picture from today. Very good chair for $70
My SO owns a commercial furniture dealership. There is a big difference between Office Depot and a commercial chair. If you're going commercial, don't buy at list price. Go through a dealer if possible.
Office chairs have brands now? Just go to Staples man.
Go to Office Depot and be done with it. I spend hours on end in this thing comfortably.
I have the Steelcase Gesture, which I admittedly chose over the Leap only because I liked the look better. The Aeron chair was in the mix too but in recognition of the fact that my natural WFH state is pantsless I decided against a mesh chair in the end.
Disclaimer: ergonomic chairs may be somewhat wasted on me for the most part as years of piano keep my back upright and straight while I’m working (I’d say a sit-stand desk or laptop/monitor stand that places the screen at an appropriate height are more valuable for me), but it is quite comfortable to lean back in.
I’m 100% with IBM2. Costco, $100, best chair I’ve had.
@IBM2 - is that the Akera Etros swivel chair?
Bungee cord chair from The Container Store. Have had for 6 years and super comfy and cheap
I have a standing desk and use a giant stability ball when I want to sit at the lower height - has worked better for me than any office chair for sitting long hours and stores easily under the desk when I’m standing
Love my steelcase gesture! Upgraded from an Office Depot $60 chair and it was worth it.
Steelcase leap for me
Get the aero. I spent about $1200 on one and have had it for $5 years.
The HM and Steelcase chairs are nicer that the Costco one but no where near 10+ times as nice. Maybe 1.2 times as nice.
@PWC - 20% nicer? Lol
@IBM - and by a dealer you mean? I saw a brand new 2015 loaded aeron on Craigslist for 400, was going to try and snag for 300. Thoughts?
