Thoughts on CPOAX?
Dear Fishes, I am in a conundrum currently. I have two offers. One from Deloitte USI (17.5 LPA fixed, 1.75 LPA variable and 1.5 L joining bonus). The other is from Infosys (25 LPA CTC. Permanent WFH. Negotiation is still on for this.)
Could you please be so kind as to help me decide which one to choose?
Thanks in advance,
Fellow Perplexed Fish.

One of my favorite podcasts did an episode on Adderall. Most of the info won’t be new, but there were some interesting snippets in there. I also thought it was a useful educational resource to share with your family and friends.

Have a system a work that system to keep on top of things you have to do in priority order. Maybe it's sticky notes or a hand-written checklist or Outlook calendar reminders or whatever else but having a system and working that system makes all the difference. Good luck!
Also, respect this system and make it a habit to keep it updated real time to work for you. Understand its importance and really know this is what will make you succeed.
The other thing I would add is make mundane tasks so much easier that you don’t have to struggle with spending too much time. For eg I hate submitting expenses. I noticed sometimes i struggled with following right steps and selections of expense codes and minor stuff. I wrote down instructions in my OneNote and I just follow it to make it easier.
“Dropping off” = When it comes to running regular processes (which the client has asked me to do more and more), I sometimes start them then completely forget where I’m going. I missed half a credit for compliance because I put it off till the last minute, thought I did all of the remaining credits, then when the confirmation emails came the next day for compliance courses I realized one course hadn’t submitted.

I wasn’t a fan of the admin tasks either, and I still procrastinate on them. Partly why I left EY to launch my own biz 10 years ago.
Perhaps you can find ways to automate or delegate them. Or look for another job that is more stimulating. I worked for several companies, EY had a bureaucratic vibe compared to other businesses I worked with. The accounting compliance thing spills over into everything they do.
I do take meds but try to limit to “as needed” because of the impact to my mood and sleep schedule. Would love any advice for how to turn it around, position myself for work that’s ADHD friendly, and what I can realistically look to pivot to that could be a good fit
OP, try doing the mundane and admin task first thing in the morning and try to space it out over a couple of days. Maybe like 30 minutes or an hour a day over a week and see if that helps. Everything won't get done automatically, but after a couple of days, you'll probably see tons of progress.
100% understand where you're coming from. After all the admin tasks are done, I feel like I have no time for anything interesting somedays. Alternatively, you can start your day doing something really interesting. When it hits 9:00 AM, do admin tasks while monitoring your email and calendar. See which one works best for you, but I would give it a week before switching out of either approach.
Have you tried a “body double?” That’s a real thing/strategy in ADHD. You ask (or pay) someone to be your physical/emotional support while you complete those mundane tasks that drive all of us w/ADHD insane. It can be done in person or virtually. Provides motivation and social support in a safe way. I have had 100% success with this.
