I use Jabra Evolve 65 UC Wireless. Has a physical mute button and also a movable microphone boom which when raised automatically mutes itself. I use the boom raise mute frequently and super happy with it.

Second this. Used Jabra extensively in pre Google days for the physical mute button and the boom mic. Works for all meeting/conferencing tools

Got the evolve2 on prime day, definitely happy with this choice. The 65ms is configured for teams/skype

Women associates in BigLaw first years through third years: what would you most like to learn from a seasoned woman lawyer: 1. How to be confident in meetings and speak up appropriately in them every single time, 2. How to effectively run a meeting, 3. How to conquer fear of failing and learn to have your own back, or 4. Something else. If I ran a free zoom call for an hour for the first 4 people who were interested, would that help you?

Was on a group call and discussing Team vs zoom. I have a direct report that needs an INCREDIBLE amount validation. On our team Slack, they even feel the need to announce that they were first in uncovering a tiny bit of information - “@boss I found this first!” - and they work to make sure they are acknowledged for such. We’ve had multiple conversations about the behavior - there is no need for it. They can be a team player, but can also be very quick to take all the credit. Any suggestions for how to get this person to a more confident place?

Was reading an info article I received about "Reading Progress." I am copying the lead sentence from Monica Burn's June 21, 2021 article for you, but I really want to know if anyone is using this app. "Reading Progress is a new, free app built right into Microsoft Teams." It looks good to me on the surface for ALL teachers and is time efficient! Any thoughts?

Interviewed yesterday with D for a consulting role with GPS 2ish YOE and multiple internships with big orgs. Everything went great except the qualitative part of the case which was awkward because I was emailed a sheet that had partial info about the case prior to the start, but I was supposed to act as if I didn’t? Quantitatively went very well. One interviewer had to reschedule due to technical difficulties. Idk if did well enough for the offer but the wait is🤢 Any tips on this last interv?

Has anyone looked into or pursued a PhD in accounting? I’m 32 years old and planning to have kids in the next few years so the thought of going back to school for 4-5 years is pretty scary. Im also nervous about giving up my salary to be a student again. My partner is very supportive and we don’t necessarily need my salary but I’m also very independent and the thought of relying on someone else financially makes me uneasy. I know I don’t want to stay in public accounting and would love to teach.
