I wanted to give an update on my last post.

Told my job I was resigning on the 28th, and they were bummed, but the recruiter tried to talk me out of it. Like I was making a big mistake. (He's probably going to lose his commission)

They got back to me today and said my lady day would be tomorrow, and that's its not a firing, but because I wrapped up all my projects. Hr was cold too lol.

No one wanted to see my beautiful face though lol.

at all the firms i’ve worked at i’ve been belittled and talked down by attorneys. I know being a woman of color plays a role. When I speak up i’m gaslighted and told i’m wrong. I was fired from my first firm ( Champaign IL) for speaking up when my coworker told me to stop speaking Spanish because she felt uncomfortable. I went to HR, they said they can’t control what people say. I was let go for not being a “good fit”.
