With Michael Thomas out, who would you replace him with in a PPR league today, TY Hilton or Emmanuel Sanders? Like Sanders but worried about Brees after 4 weeks off.
Advice for young attorneys dealing with non-billable workload? I’m still my first two months at my firm but a ton of the work I’m being assigned is non-billable. I understand if I’m not still fully on boarded but how are we supposed to keep up billables while being given time consuming non billable work?
Any get offended that you’re used as a diversity & inclusion chip for presenting at orals because the other teams are bringing all men?
What "hard truths" or insights has the coronavirus crisis revealed about your own firm and our larger industry? Let's be pretty open and honest here.
Anyone have a prior infection and then feel worse after the vaccine? I did j&j 5 days ago as a “booster” (rode natural antibodies) and have been having weird mild chest pains and dizzy / light headed since then. I felt awful the day after the jab (worse than my worst day when I had covid) and figured once that went away I would be fine but the chest pain and dizziness hasn’t gone away.
I am almost 2 years into my H1B. They haven’t started my I140 but when I joined told me that I would be eligible in a year of which I am coming up on in this Oct. I got a new offer today but they told me that they would apply I140 after a year from when I join. The pros of the new one is TC more than 18k with sign-on of 15k (not sure clauses for this) and better wrk-life bal). My question is, how long into H1B is it advisable to have an I140 applied for. Would 3-4 years into my H1B be too late?
For those who made the jump from large consulting firms to boutique outfits, did you enjoy the switch? I imagine at the top level, smaller firms provide greater responsibility, maybe even comp?
Out of curiosity why is KPMG consistently made fun of and considered the worst of the big 4? I've been here a year and love working here, the people and work make me happy to come in everyday
I have an offer from KPMG, and I am in talks with collabera, they are offering about 35% hike which will be 100% hike from my current ctc, while KPMG offers 65% on my current ctc. KPMG is a research and stakeholders management role and collabera offers strategy role including working direct with VP. I know the company is pretty small when company to KPMg, should I proceed with the interview?
Working in Europe temporarily. Have an option to do Executive MBA, it’s around 70-90k Euros for an year. Another option I have is doing part time PhD in Management. It’s around 35-40k Euros for 4 years. Any thoughts on which one would be more useful? Currently work in a T2 in their digital practice. Had plans of shifting to MBB 3-4 years back but lost interest after
How do I learn to accept my role in the company and "slow down" career wise. I am used to quick promos and my new company is hiring someone with equal product exp to a more senior role than me, likely due to his 3 more yrs of overall experience. I am having my first child in the next few months and I think it would be good for me to learn some patience in my career growth and just enjoy my current role. I personally think going on leave will hurt my near term growth but should I even care? TIA
Have an interview with Accenture strategy as manager. Just wondering what typical base salary and bonus is for second year manager.
I have a standing offer with Accenture (AFS). Due to coronavirus, the recruiter told me they are pausing staffing of external people like myself while they take care of internal people on the bench. My recruiter said he would touch base monthly during covid, but usually I’m the one to reach out to him. We haven’t spoken since mid March, so should I reach out? I totally understand if they’re still in the same position as before and nothing changed since mid March in terms of hiring.
Looking for input from indy/RIA, wirehouse, B/D, Bank, Insurance folks all in one spot. If you have $50M wrapped at 1% (let’s just assume for this purpose)... what does that equate to for total comp?
Any current/Ex IBM please guide me to Opt In/Out of the IBM's Medical Insurance. To start of there is a co share of premium for a base sum insured of 3L which comes around 1790/- Then skipping the benefits for a second if I jump on to the claim part there is a Copay of 10-90. Employee will have to bear 10% of the claim and insurer will bear the other 90%. For dependents 20-80 Copay. Are the benefits are good enough to consider copay and subscribe ? Please Suggest.
I have 2 years entry level consulting experience and specialize more in CPQ/Salesforce. Debating if I should stay and get promoted or try and exit for an industry job? What can I apply for? Are there government/healthcare jobs that use cpq/Salesforce? Will they pay 120k+ for someone like me?
