CSR, no brainer. Even if you were going to go Marriott, you actually end up earning more points per Marriott spend with the SPG card (and then converting SPG to Marriott points).
I have the CSR and love it! Earn a lot of points since travel and dining are 3x. If you spend a lot at hotels specifically though then the Marriott might be better since it’s 5x points on Marriott/SPG purchases
I have the Marriot Rewards Premier (I’m an exclusively Marriot/SPG guy when I travel) so I love the card and the 5x points (plus the $85/year is a no brainer). The 80k points they’re giving out now for signups is an all time high and if you’re really considering the card, Chase has a referral bonus too (shameless plug)
I have to admit the CSR looks really tempting, especially with my Global Entry/PreCheck expiring this year.

CSR all the way
Sapphire without a doubt. It paid for my 1st class seats to Asia and back...complement with the freedom and freedom unlimited to get the most points. And transfer all points to your Sapphire
Got the Marriott with 100k sign on bonus and no annual fee. Love it and made more sense for me than CSR
