You have a lot of work in your book but I see no descriptions until the bottom of the page. It feels like a hodge-podge of work. Some of the logos are pixelated, I think the pattern background takes away from the work. Some of the work doesn't show the best typography skills.
With regard to what you’ve shared, there’s a disconnect between the “design director” title and the finer details in both your work and your resume. There are a fair amount of mistakes, and design errors throughout both. If you’re trying to compete with director level designers that may be your issue. A director level usually has a very polished presentation, and this isn’t.
I would suggest looking at some DD portfolio a and resumes the industry admires, and rework both of yours to mimic. That should give you concrete perspective on the differences, and bring your stuff up a level.
If you’re looking for roles in advertising or tech, respectfully, I would consider dropping your title by a level or two to remain competitive.
What type of job are you going for? & Industry?
Maybe share you resume here for some feedback/constructive criticism. Also, have you asked for any feedback from any of the interviewees who rejected you? That can help shed light on areas where you could make some improvements.
My most recent dont mind the color please. I tried to stay on brand to match my portfolio https://ellebedesign.agency/work

How much attention do you pay to the grammar and punctuation in your emails, vs writing this post? I’ve seen thank you notes from candidates that seemed intelligent and qualified, but then half assed their writing of the thank you note.
It was a simple morning meditation post. Just a quick post. Wasn’t thinking to deep.
Have you had your resume professionally optimized? I would highly recommend this! It really helped me to get interviews and land jobs.
