Hey Fishes,
Can anyone give me referral ?
Thanks!
Hi everyone!
I've been offered a job at Publicis Sapient as a front-end developer (React Js).
What kind of work culture, work load and tech stack exposure should I be expecting?
I'm having 1 year experience.
I've also got offers from IndiaMART InterMESH Limited, Amdocs, Verizon and Collegedunia.
All for the role of front-end web developer.
I'm very confused between all of them.

I bounced with less than 2 YOE. It’s definitely worth it, at the very least treat it as a layover for your career. That’s a very solid salary, a nice change of pace, and ultimately an opportunity for you to reassess your goals in a space that provides you more mental tranquility. Don’t be afraid to pivot so early in your career, oftentimes it’ll only bring more opportunities to the table.

It’s all relative to options -
- If you’ve searched a lot and not landed anywhere else, this sounds like a slam dunk
- If you’ve just started your search and this happened, may be worth just targeting a few specific companies that excite you and see how that plays out before making the leap. Maybe use the offer as the tipping point to quit and do the “search” process and find a gig that works.
I personally think a stepping stone role in tech is perfectly fine, you are very early in your career, any time in tech vs. consulting will give you a lot more credibility for the future. The role itself is very well paid at your level even if you don’t think so. If you think you can grow and learn, would be a good enough move. Also, in case you do realize tech ain’t it, you can always go back into consulting or b school as an option. No decision is final :)

That's actually a really good salary for <2 YOE, especially if it's something that's more interesting with better WLB.
Even if it's not something you're fully excited about, remember that this, like consulting, can end up just being a 1-2 year layover.
If you want to be in tech, BEING in tech is a better launch pad than just continuing to be in consulting.

When you come to tech you will meet your consulting fraternity who will ask you to draw 7 red lines with green ink and transparent ink.
There are days when I fume with anger and surprise of what is being asked and how its totally disconnected from problem statement.
Sounds like a slick compensation
Any advice on how to pivot into tech from consulting? From what I’ve seen S&O and PM are the most common roles people go to from consulting

Was in this spot ~6 months ago. I pivoted to tech S&O for roughly the same comp. with some equity. I absolutely love it. The work is interesting and I feel like I’m helping move the needle. I would take it and don’t look back.
