How much yearly hike can one expect at Société Générale ?
"Depends on performance" seems to be a very vague answer.
Can someone please elaborate on a better answer.
Also, Can someone shed some light on promotions?
Is there any policy, like you have to work for X years to be eligible for promotion etc.
Thanks in advance.

PSA: With tax season is around the corner I just wanted to share that CashApp (Square) allows you to e-file individual Federal return and 1 state return for free (with NO income limit), and the best part is it supports ALL essential forms for stocks like 1099s and Sch D (gain loss on stock including crypto). Lucky to find a senior position above 90 rn. Have been applying like crazy and it has been a let down. With so many being like 6+ YOE, 75k, 5 days in office. Like are we paying the same rent hun?
Would only take a pay cut for a university job so I could go back for a masters and never have to do accounting again. But that’s not happening for me either, too experienced for most of their positions
I recently received an offer of $75K for an experienced associate position in LCOL
That’s really good!
Your salary reflects the fungible nature of your position. A staff in NYC does the same work as a staff in Nashville. The NYC salary is higher, but not necessarily reflective of the full COL difference. The COL adjustment changes as you move up and demonstrate skills essential to your market. Specifically, if you can make it rain in NYC, the money will come
Because sending work offshore is much cheaper for the accounting firms.
Accounting was never investment banking or consulting, let alone private equity and hedge funds; your observation is correct
Yeah it will never be at that level, but I’m surprised at how low it is. I’m seeing mid level positions (3-5 YOE) have a range of 80k-120k. It’s crazy.
That's just the nature of VHCOL cities. You'll get maybe 20% higher salary than lower cost cities but rent us 100% higher.
