About to get promoted to SM at EY. How much should I expect? Does it grow within SM cohort?

- $160K Base
- 1,200 RSUs over 4 years
1yr vesting with quarterly clip thereafter
Valued at $144K over 4y using today's stock price of $120 = $36K/y
- Signing bonus of ~$10K (TBD)
- Relocation payout of ~$10K (TBD)

A friend was told their firm will cut ties EOY if certain things don’t improve. Friend had planned to quit in the next year anyway (to start their own business), so there is no real incentive to bend over backwards. Friend’s goal is to keep the income for a little longer, but to minimize conflict / headaches. What’s the best move here? Wait until EOY and take the severance? Give 6 / 9 / 12 months’ notice now? Is there such a thing as too much notice? Could too much notice backfire?

USI fish: I was promoted in Aug last year and I though we were supposed to get raises in February. Wasn't that announced in USI too?

Anybody has any idea when we would know about those increments, US people already know it I think.

I had offer from company A and B. A was offering only 22% hike on my CTC but copany B was offering 30% hike on CTC. After accepting the offer from company A and just before 20 days of LWD I asked for making it to 30% hike. Looking for advice (& empathy): Started out in advertising, then became a journalist. Moved to the US for grad school, and back to advertising few years ago. Now stuck at a company where I’m deeply unhappy but they sponsor the visa (not H1B, so it’s not a huge ask).
