Meta technical solutions consultant interview prep - can someone let me know if they have gone through the technical rounds for Technical Solutions Consultant role? Can you share what to prepare for since it’s not a data science type of role so most likely not hard level MySQL questions. Any specific types of queries that I should learn? Thanks!

I’ve worked at both CLA and KPMG. WLB is better for a senior at CLA.
Kpmg. I would only go non B4 for wlb.
It really depends on what you want to do. If you want to stay longer and make a partner in PA, Moss Adams is super competitive internally (based on how their incentive structure is set up - very cut throat) and not clear hard to make partners. KPMG is also extremely hard to make partners. CLA is growing right now, so that might be your best route. With regards to work, you will get most of the same work. So if you don’t want to stay for a long time, look at the teams you’re going to be working with and see how they are. Connect with them ask them how they like working there, just overall attitude towards their team, and overall attitude towards you. You would want to avoid coming into a toxic environment.
I worked at Moss Adams and I would go anywhere else.
Well when you recruit whether it be part of campus recruiting or experienced hiring they make the firm out to be like a big four. They fail to mention that the offices are largely disconnected (where people mainly work with their own office), resources such as India practice is nonexistent, and tools like matrix are trash compared to big 4 counterparts. When I say resources like the India practice other firms like big 4, bdo, RSM, and GT leverage most basic work to India while people at moss still do basic stuff like prepare workpapers, import trial balances, make manual updates in the software, etc. all in all, looking back moss feels a little like working at a firm living in the stone ages relative to its size in the United States

Depends what you want for client base, experience, sync with team, promotion opportunities, and many other factors. How are we to know? You are the best person to make this call. Or speak with someone who knows you and has a tangential understanding of the situation.
We have no idea.
KPMG.
KPMG especially if your goal is to leave for industry.
Agree with previous comments... if you want to go into industry eventually, go with KPMG. It will open MANY more doors in the future.
CLA, but I might have some bias…

If you’re in So Cal, go with CLA :)
Don’t forget that the clients at moss and CLA are small. Relative to kpmg. So if you want to go to industry it’s easier to go when you work on large companies that can actually afford to hire tax accountants. Moss clients and probably cla clients majority can’t afford a tax accountant to be in house for a reason.
