Got fired from ideal $260k wfh job within my first year because I didn’t hit sales numbers. Left scrambling to find a job before YE and found a $200k, no sales, wfh job. Take or keep looking?
I could really use insight. I’m a Rockstar in my dept/team. Ask me to take on a new project and I can get it done. I delegate tasks and partner with other lines of business. I am knowledgeable, punctual, communicative and competent. I can learn new skills/programs easily (SQL, Verint Speech Analytics, pivot tables in Excel.) My pain point is summed up: “Overlooked.” I am not a member of mgmt but want to pursue opportunities. How’ve you asked for mentorship? Tips on standing out in WFH setting?
Note to introverts: claim you are unvaccinated even though you got vaccinated months ago so you can work from home indefinitely. You’re welcome!
PwC SDC Bangalore HRs are verbally promising permanent work From Home/Anywhere. Do you think it's going to be like that or they will call to office in coming months ? It's just a trick to attract candidates.
Any recommendations for a hybrid robot vacuum in terms of price-performance Ratio or important buying criteria? WFH makes it necessary and I want to treat myself :). Key information: floor is parquet, so I guess it should have dry/wet/wiping functions, don’t have any pets, thought I want to spend 300€ max. but no clue if investing more is worth it. Highly appreciate any input :)!
Hey guys, Can anyone clear a doubt.. On Solveit,i saw the link for WFH reimbursement and there its mentioned that this program officially ended on 31 oct..New hires who joined after 31 oct can't claim this. Anyone claimed this who joined in November?
I am curious how other inclusion teachers are being utilized when the school is doing remote learning. I find that I am sitting in the zoom class and have very little opportunity to contribute. I am having discussions with my teachers on ways that I can better support them and the students when remote.

How sad is your life, if the biggest reason to move into an apartment alone is to avoid wearing pants on wfh and weekends.
Considering an offer from Facebook for L5 Manager (Non-tech in recruiting) in Austin (remote). TC started at 178. Now 200 TC which I’m told is top of the pay band. Kinda confused because TC feels low for L5 people manager and pay sounds like L5 IC Austin pay. Any thoughts on if this is competitive or if you get a pay cut for working remote? Data to consider: interviews went really well, currently at Google (considering the move for growth to manage 12-20). No info on lvls.fyi for this role

For those who left consulting for industry this year, any regrets given the remote start at your company? Any difficulties you ran into? Or was it all pros? If so what were they?

What are some fun activities you are using on WebEx|Zoom|Flipgrid to engage your students and maintain your classroom community? TIA!
I recently got diagnosed with ADHD. I'm 31 and found this only because b school and post mba consulting job was/is much more challenging than anything I did before. What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since. I just realised it now. My doctor has suggested treating depression (I was also unaware of this) with Wellbutrin first (contd)
Was contacted by McKinsey HR for a BA role (exp hire) and was connected with internal folks, etc Now I’m being asked to apply online. Is this a formality? Should I not assume that I have the int?

So he tested positive days before the debate. Then miraculously tested negative. Then days after, he tested positive again and ended up in the hospital. After the fact, in his town hall with Savannah Guthrie, he said he never tested positive until *after* the debate. I’m sure it was all totally above board… and naturally, Trump says Meadow’s claim is fake news. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/dec/01/trump-tested-positive-covid-before-biden-debate-chief-staff-mark-meadows-book
I know this topic does not get talked about much but will eventually impact almost all of us so here goes. I am thinking of retiring (early) and would love recommendations for countries that I can retire to that. Primary factors would be cost if living, safety, warm climate, good health care system, (preferably) close to the US - not a requirement, stable government and laws, diversity in landscape (beach, rivers, mountains). Definitely not super rich so thinking of 5k a month in expenses.
