That's amazing. My company doesn't offer anything similar and I really wish they did! A 32 hour work week would be a huge life saver for me. Do you have any reason to think it will affect your future career other than just an instinctual fear?
Wow, that would be fantastic! I also have young kids and managing their schedules and a 40 hour work week is tough. This sort of flexibility would really help parents and a lot of other people too
I wish my company offered this. I'm still here working a full 40 hour week and feeling like I'm missing out on so much of my kids' childhoods. It's really tough, but I can't NOT work, so I just suck it up and do it.

I think that’s brilliant your company offers that, some companies are not flexible at all and that makes such a huge difference. My company if for some reason one of us needs to shoot off to pick our kids up from school or attend the school etc they’re so laid back and just a “yeah see you when you can” which I find is so helpful.
I took a 30-hour schedule when my second was born, and honestly, it saved my sanity. Slower career progression? Maybe. But I gained time I’ll never get back with my kids. No regrets
.. just a different pace for now
