My daughter (15months) is in a major mommy phase right now. Loves playing with me and all, but it’s all mom for comfort. When she’s sick, it just kills me. My wife takes the huge brunt of it then my wife obviously gets tired, I try to comfort our daughter, that normally fails and makes it worse... Rinse repeat. Just sucks so bad not to be able to comfort my daughter.

Second AP1 and manager 1. Also make sure your wife isn't stepping in when she doesn't have to. Sometimes my wife would just do it like muscle memory or out of concern, but it would undermine any impact I could have (especially when the kid is almost over the issue). Also went the other way a few months later as others stated.

Good on you for trying to share the load. You can also help other ways including massages and relaxing moments.

Been there. Don’t worry I’m a few months it will swing the opposite way. Until then just support your wife by doing things around the house to ease her stress. Laundry, dishes, picking up, etc.

Yeah trying to handle everything else. Wife is amazing and we are tag teaming in the only way we can right now… just sucks.

Take your daughter in a room where she can’t see mom and stay very active with her. Have mom hide in the bedroom.

Daughter will forget in a little bit

This maybe works better when they’re a little younger, but have you tried holding her in the shower with you? Mine all used to love that, and would regularly fall asleep against me, especially when they weren’t feeling great

HEYYYYY I’m in the same boat OP!!

Yeah have some time when mommy is “away” and there’s no option to be with her. Good for mommy and good for your relationship too.

Is it common to get more and more conservative after highschool? Throughout high school I considered myself a leftist even at one point liking Bernie. Hi everyone,
I was hoping someone could give me some advice. I’ve been taking care of my extremely sick (literally on the verge of dying) dog. I work from home so it’s not too much of a nuisance but I feel distracted all day long and can hardly get anything done because I worry about my dog. I feel like I’d benefit from a day off or even half a day off but I’ve only been working for my firm for a month now, plus I have “discretionary time off.” Would it be okay for me to ask for a day off?

What career advice would you give to a 25 year old? Recently got diagnosed with a lifelong disability and it’s really made me contemplate what’s most important to me in terms of my job and how I’m ever going to “make it” in my career with a debilitating condition… or whether I even want to, for that matter. Should I rejoin Equinox? Background: I cancelled my equinox membership because I wanted to try out different gyms. After about a month and a half, I’ve determined I really miss Equinox. It’s kind of expensive ($250 per month, but only an extra $130 over an average local gym). I like saving money but my health has definitely taken a dive because working out is not as enjoyable. Am I crazy?

Mental Health, inherited or choice? I am finding myself struggling with processing that ADD, Depression, or Bipolar is a chemical imbalance in the brain vs. behavioral therapy. The best analogy given to me is you would treat diabetics with insulin so why not consider prescriptions to help mental health. 2020 has thrown more at me than I’m able to handle. Has anyone here noticed a significant improvement after a prescription to help psych issues?

Saw my therapist this past Friday and he gave me a useful trick to build better behavior patterns. Whenever you have work to do but would rather nap or something, tell yourself 3 negative effects of the nap and 3 positive effects of doing the work. You might still take the nap, but if you can get in the habit of thinking of it negatively, you'll take less naps when you need to be doing other things.

Doesn't matter what the activities are. Could be working out vs eating more, could be socializing IRL vs wasting time in FB (lol)

Anyone else heard of this/tried it?

So my query is will they call me for next round?I really wanna get selected since Deloitte is mydream company
