Men usually take longer to mature, so it may actually be helpful.
Not that helpful.
Not always the case, but I’ve witnessed where one person would already aged and have more sickness - leaving the other to be caretaker.. it’s tough when that happens. Hard to grow old together
My parents were 10 years apart and my Mom told me to marry someone close to my own age.
I married someone 11 years older - its been great. He's great in every way. We had similar views of what we wanted and was more settled and ready for a future. He's a lot more respectful compared to other men I've dated
My parents are 14 years apart. I don’t have any advice, just hoping to add normalization :)
My dad was 10 years older than my mom and they had a great relationship so 10 years is not that much of a difference unless they’re 20 and 30 years old then that might be a little bit much at the start but good luck
My wife and eye are 9 years apart. We have a great relationship. Been together for 7 years. I guess we really make an effort to make it work. We always go out of our way to understand why each other thinks the way we do to avoid assuming and misunderstandings. While we may not always agree, we approach every disagreement as something we want to address without hurting each other. I am pretty sure any relationship that works had to do that anyway.
