My Job application at accenture has gone on hold saying that its above my compensation expectation even before they shortlisted me for the interview process. I already mailed them saying i am ready to reconsider my salary expectation but no reply from their end now.

Can anyone tell me what to do next now in this case.

Is it like a common thing, people not being paid as much as expectation at Accenture? I had a call for an opening but the minute I told them the expectation, the recruiter didn't even say a word and simply hung up 😂😂

One shouldn't generalize. Accenture has a very wide band range of comp across Strategy, Tech consulting, Technology and Ops. Most people interview at ACN technology in India and think ACN's world is limited to that. They just don't know there are many tracks paying upto 300% premium at the same org level.

Very common at ACN. Happens coz mostly contractors are hired to do first-level HR discussions and they are not trained to "negotiate"

Just put someone with higher designation such as recruitment head in the cc
Then the recruiter will call you but not sure if they will release the offer or not, they will tell you that this much is the budget if you want they will proceed

Kis baat ka attitude hain bhai itna ? And it happens mostly in India.

Just say NO, Sorry your skills are not a match, don't ignore. You were also candidates once.

Worse they say We'll check or get back to you. But never come back. Luckily I got selected into a tier-1 company and their Recruiter ignored me once 😂. I am gonna personally meet that recruiter on Day1.
