My last held designation was of an account manager for 1 year (been an associate manager before that) though my responsibilities were that of a SAM (hired much later). I feel I’m ready and confident to take up responsibilities of a director but a little nervous to apply for the role as on paper I’m still an account manager. What would you suggest?

Good morning all, I need some guidance on how to get into the federal government. USA Jobs just doesn’t work for me. I am currently a government contractor, TS clearance, Investigative/Intelligence analyst.

Subject matter expert with my CPA. I’m completely fed up with the compliance aspect of public accounting Tax but don’t mind the technical side. Does it make sense to become an attorney to get out of compliance work and still do something related to specialty tax?
Or do I just go the college professor route? Wouldn’t mind working @ BNA or something like that either but I’m seriously fed up with everything about tax compliance and can’t keep doing this

I'm accepting an offer with a new company... Start in early Aug. Senior Manager role, though in this company that equates to Manager at most consulting farms. They did not had hunt me. I came to them for the job.
