Hey Fishes! Creating a quick post to do a pulse check on EB based green card interviews. My PD is June 2014 (EB3) and 485 filed in Oct 2020. I got notification from USCIS that my case has been scheduled for interview. Surprisingly, I am not even current (non-ROW category). If you have received interview request for EB, could you please share your category (EB1,2,3), PD, and filing date?
Interviewed with @Deloitte (North America). I was told that they will provide an update in 2 weeks. It's been more than a week now. Doesn't sound very positive. Any thoughts? I believe it was one and only interview. PS: can you rely on job portal for most recent status?
Has anybody interviewed with Twitter before for project management roles? Any idea what the pay is like and what to expect from their interview process?
Interviewed at ZS, final round DAA position and haven’t heard back, its been a week now. I have heard that ZS extends offers fairly quickly to candidates. I’m assuming it’s a reject. Thoughts? ZS Associates

Interviewing with EY consulting as EH and am asked to do a first round via Hire Vue. The interview includes pre recorded questions and some “games” - this is quite new and first time for me…could anyone who’s been through the process share a bit more on your experience? What questions I could expect and what are those games?

Took me a long time to figure out: 1) don’t interview for jobs, interview the boss you will be reporting to 2) don’t count on your employer for anything ( including your finances) have 2 or 3 side
Are we allowed to be as obvious as possible during interviews on what clients we worked on so long as we don’t say their name? Ex: one of my clients went through a huge merger in x industry in my city, and if I were to state that in interviews it would be a dead give away. Is that okay?
Got Presurvey email post interviews @ Deloitte USI for Consultant role. What is the ETA for the next step ?

Can Slalom Consulting 🐠 provide insight on the S&O interview process? I was advised it would consist of: 1. 1v1 with S&O member 2. Case interview 3. Interview with 1-2 leaders (potential mini cases). How is the process in general? Are the cases difficult?
I’m a second year associate with a split lit/transactional practice interviewing (second round) for an in house position this week. Interview is with the general counsel. Any interview tips? Wondering what questions I should make sure to ask and what skills to highlight given it’s a more entry level in house position and they know I’m coming from firm experience. Thanks in advance!
Completed a few take home case interviews (decks and spreadsheets) on company laptop. Will I run into any legal trouble with my current firm for doing this?
Wondering how many investment hours other folks are putting in. I lateraled to my AM100 firm in June 2020 after starting my career at a small (12 attorney) shop, followed by a two year clerkship when I moved. My firm just instituted a new three tier system of compensation based on billables and I feel like I’m getting completely screwed because I had over 2400 hours, but a literal third of them are investment time. So I’m putting in tons of time, but will be in the lowest tier of compensation.
Anyone in SLC want to refer me to an apartment? I know some places give a credit on rent for referrals.
I constantly see caution from those practicing advising newbies to cut and run/quit this profession. Do you feel you were ill prepared for what being a lawyer actually entails or is it more burnout? What led you to law and what has pushed you to advise those considering law or about to start practicing to consider alternatives?
If you plan to leave your firm and your manager asks you why you're leaving, what do you say? I have a legitimate non-bridge-burning reason unrelated to comp or simply "big tech is better" reason. I have asked for more client facing exposure and haven't gotten it cause weird reasons, which was the factor that caused me to look for exits in the first place. But I'm not sure if I should bring this up. Should I just be vague and say "looking for a new chapter"?
Holy crap the Precheck & Clear lIke @ IAD is long this morning. The employee said it’s a normal Monday occurrence
If most CDs want to be making the work themselves, and were just the role because they excelled as creatives but maybe don't like or aren't meant to be managers, why do we have this agency model where there's tons of hierarchy instead of having teams of creative directors who come up with ideas and do the work. In terms of nurturing talent, let the other agencies do it and then hire on people when they're senior.
Was recently dinged from Linkedin but made it to onsite and recruiter thinks that I might be a good fit for other roles. Unfortunately she can’t refer. Can anyone help with a referral from Linkedin?
Can Covid be sexually transmitted?
what have you to say about taking 1-2 week break before starting in a new company? I can’t pass the thought of the opportunity cost ( losing a half month salary)
Hi all! My mother in law got scammed by a con artist from the UK online and lost $7K (damn you Facebook!) Her status in the US is currently complicated and she doesn’t have a green card(tho she’s working on it), my wife(her daughter) is American. I want to report this to the FBI’s elder fraud department but I don’t want to complicate her situation even more. Does anyone know if criminal stuff like this and immigration related things are separated?
Anyone at SFO right now?
Are you recording and posting all of your live lessons for absent students to watch later?

Interviewing with founders of a small shop. I want to ask them in a professional, sincere way if they had to let go of people during the pandemic. Is that bad to ask? “What steps did you take in order to protect job security during client loses?” Is possible. Bc I know some places were able to keep ppl.
Client layoffs today. About 10 people. Folks onsite described it as a funeral. Most of the client team is outsourced. Feels bad man...
