I've recieved an offer from Morgan Stanley, my previous salary was around 6 Lpa and last offered was around 15 Lpa (WFH), I quoted 40 to 45% on top of that around 22 Lpa considering Mumbai location, WFO and Glassdoor pay range.
Did I just do a mistake by quoting too high a number? Please let me know your opinions.

Negotiation in new offer: I’m moving from fully remote to fully in office (with chance of hybrid later) offer for associate director in quality in pharma for 170k base, 18% bonus and 75k equity. My manager has given me rating 1 in confirmatory appraisal on may 18 may which happened after completion of 1 year at wipro.
I raised the issue of rating with my manager immediately , he convinced me not to worry , ratings are already submitted , I asked him to resubmit cause i don't deserve rating 1
So he said he will look if that is possible but didn't changed .Now after 3 months they are pressurizing me to put a resignation,what should i do?

I’m one of the only attorneys in my Texas firm that had electricity, internet, and water this week. I was warm and comfortable but still could not get any work done because things going on in the outside world are distracting. When I try to work, I feel like I can barely hold a thought in my mind before I get the “wait, what am I doing again?” feeling. Anyone here made the move from a boutique ECVC firm to in house at a VC? My Y1/Y2 background was V20 ECVC hard hitting firm in the Bay, and now I’m at a large boutique with a strong rep in this field in So Cal. I don’t want to make partner, so I’m exploring what options there may be to go in house with an ECVC background. Any insight on responsibilities, W/L balance, leadership, etc in these in house roles?

Does anyone think it’s weird that my firm is bending over backwards to try to keep a first year staff from leaving the firm after she was rated a 2 this year. But now she’s trying to leave and they keep trying to push her to stay saying she can be a partner in 8-9 years and laying it all out in detail. The issue is they laid off other staff (all but her) so maybe that’s it? Find it very odd.

I’m 23 and independent. Working full time and studying full time is taking a serious toll on my mental health. I’m always tired, unmotivated, depressed, sometimes angry at my life, and I don’t know what to do. I’m in my sophomore year. I also don’t work in the field that I’m studying (computer science) because I’m always rejected without an interview, which is another aggravating factor for me. It’s hard to have time to work on personal projects to make my portfolio more attractive.

Would I be dumb to start a PhD?

I just finished my MBA. I’d never even considered my masters until my employer paid for it. My MBA helped me get a huge pay rise and I’ve just settled into a new role that I love.

I’ve just been offered a full scholarship for a PhD in a topic I am passionate about, already an active advocate for and with academics I sincerely admire. The topic is directly for a study I already contribute to every year.
