My previous contract ended, I feel poached from my wheelhouse of travel (organized work setting). I accepted a job with another fed contractor said I’d be working travel and day two find out there’s no travel it’s an admin job. I’m beside myself and stuck in a job performing admin duties no training or real purpose (unorganized) with a large DOD agency but it’s busy work and I hate even getting up? I always try and find the silver lining but the lack of integrity is disruptive at best.

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. It’s been pain of me for a long time. 1) sometimes I forget what exactly have I done for the day to reach 8. 2) some tasks take more time than managers’ expectation due to follow up, investigating, etc. and if you put more hours than then expected, they will then ask why.
