My project has ended in June and I am yet to get the next project. What is the average time in between projects where a person can be on bench? Does the period affect during performance review?

Abused and isolated as a kid. I have terrible memory. Like I don’t really remember the past few months except in broad strokes and memories of my childhood are more non existent than existent.
