I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.

I'm at a much smaller Firm than Bain. To my knowledge, we don't offer equity until one is a legacy partner.

So it's not a part of the job offer from the start? I guess I would make sure the rest of the comp package looks good because this sounds like a very weak promise.
Yes. The recruiter would know that equity is a possibility, but they wouldn’t have a ton of insight on how it works necessarily. So they would know to say hey this is something you could get but your regular manager would be the one to talk to you about it. I think people forget that recruiters only get a certain amount of information.
