If you changed firms, your new place may have more expensive benefits
If my analyst can’t figure out why two pay stubs are different, not likely going to be my analyst for long.
wait just curious which roles at McKinsey only pay $77k? Are you in the US?
you changed firm for a 2k increase? I just turned down an offer with a 27k increase because i thought it wasnt enough. unless ur working way less or u absolutely hated ur previous job thats such a small increase to jump. Anyways, to answer ur question might be other deductions that my be more at your new place like health insurance or myabe u have more going into 401k...etc. taxes withheld could be higher too.
D1 yes you’re right, thank you. Idk why ppl are upset, only been out here a year lol
Check for insurance/benefits deduction

Benefits are probably more expensive
Do a side by side compassion of paystubs to find the differences.
Maybe the increase was in some annual pay?

Calculate again. Maybe it’s lagged. Are the taxes the same on the pay stub?
Doesn’t go into effect until next cycle
I didn’t move for the money
Also just jumped with a 2k increase, better job better benefits still sucks though
Are you over-withholding?
It’s different insurance I bet
