What did your transition from AE to editor look like?

5 months ago I joined an advertising post house as a full-time AE. Through the support of a lead editor at the company I found my way into making cuts for the company’s most prestigious client. At this point, I’ve been the sole editor of one global campaign and a co-editor of another, in addition to cutting many social media videos. It’s only 5 months but I can’t help feel that my title doesn’t reflect the work I actually do.

I’m new to freelancing, at a senior level and in NYC. Can anyone give me a range of what day rate would be appropriate to charge? Thank you!!
