If money was not a criteria, what job would you do?
Off topic: I am stuck in a service based company for last 4 years in a shitty project. The work I do can be done by a 12th grader. Now i want to move out by learning something new & changing my domain. But the thing is I am not able to study because I am stuck in a comfort zone and learning new thing gives me bad anxiety. It feels like I will never learn & be forever stuck here. Pls help on how to come out of comfort zone, learn things and apply for the job. Tata Consultancy Infosys Wipro

Yeah you’ll get hit up less for jobs once you turn down places a few times in a row, but that’s the game. & I wouldn’t be too afraid of it because once you’re down to leave and jump back in the pool just hit up your old producers/EPs/editor pals & you’ll be back in the loop as an available editor
In my opinion depends on your situation at the post house. If you can see growth promotion and better work in your future definitely stay. And good coworkers are worth a lot. But staying two years and leveraging an interview at your dream shop, or a more lucrative freelance situation can be a great outcome as well.

I’m finding the work challenging (in a good way) and also I’m adding a lot to my reel. So my gut feeling is to stay for now as long as that continues to be the case.
