Need advise, currently working in a specialized industry strategy consulting boutique, where majority of the work seems to be CDD n M&A focused. In talks with Monitor Deloitte for Director role, strategy & design but generalist role. My current setup while specialized is a very small firm where the partners have a top-down management style, while I have been culturally more accustomed to bigger consulting firms. Pay similar in both companies. Any advice?

I struggle with my mental health and my biggest weaknesses is not being attentive to details and having strong interpersonal skills. Those two factors are is the reason I feel I am failing at my job. I have been offered a position at a non-US B4 with a 2 year path to partner. I know one of the partners at the local firm and have the support of the regional service line lead, and am bringing a specialized skill set they are trying to open a new business around. The KPIs seem achievable and I’ll be in charm school to help build support within that timeline. Most of me thinks a 2 year path under these circumstances realistic but my inner skeptic is jaded. Switching team internally competing with external candidates. was asking a promotion for next grade midpoint but was ok to accept >=50% hike which i told hiring manager before the process start itself which he said will consider if I'm the one selected.
