Can my lead ask for medical records or doc’s notes if they find out I will be going on sick leave again? For what it’s worth, I have been on sick leave on and off for 2 weeks now.

I work in the interactive group at my agency. I had a chat with my CD today and said I’d like to move to another account soon. She asked what I’d want to do and I replied that I’d be happy on consumer goods, healthcare, banking, etc. She stopped me and said, no you need to decide if you want to be UX, a long form writer or other specialty. She said there’s no such thing as just being a “copywriter” any more. This sounds nuts to me. Is this an interactive thing? Have I been in this biz too long?

20 year road warrior here. My wife & I made it work through teamwork & commitment. My weekends were spent at home. Doing family things.

I know a guy who (pre COVID) traveled every week, yet found time to do 200 mile weekend biking trips with his ‘crew’. Almost every weekend.

His family vacations always seemed to include a 500 mile bike race or some other extreme event.

He is now doing this in Europe (according to IG).

How do spouses put up with that?

If you need to pay a sitter to stay overnight (eg 4pm-8am) do you pay a flat rate, by total hours, by hour that the child is awake?

For reference, I have an 18 month old so she is asleep generally 7pm-630am.
