Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?

I recently joined a company after being self employed. I’m on hubs’s health insurance. We have no kids. It’s United healthcare. The company offers United as health insurance. What’s the best way to compare plans? I have not been in this situation before so apologies in advance if this is a dumb question.

Hi everyone, I have successfully completed all the tech rounds, hiring manager and hr round at a company. In the HR round, the guy asked me to mail him my documents like current company offer letter, 3 months salary slip, offer in hand etc. and my expected CTC. He said they will get back to me in 2 working days but they haven't yet. How long should I wait to check with them? And is this some strategy HRs use to see if you are desperate for the job or somehow get your expected CTC down?
