Negotiating with EY for M/SM Tech Consulting. I have 15 years experience, skills are in demand and my interviews went extremely well. 1. What are the salary ranges for M and SM in NYC. 2. I am told it is only going to be a M now, for my own benefit-no EY network means failure at selling. Whats the highest salary I can negotiate at M. Any other tips will be handy. I have "sold" (support on sales & new roles through relationships) plus I have solid delivery experience. I really want SM 😀😀😀 EY

Take it and join us. That's an insane offer for Consultant level. You can stay a couple years and go back to ACN for 180-200.
Out of curiosity, what practice at Deloitte?
Cloud Strat
Despite all the bad things you hear about Deloitte, that’s a really good comp. it’s not a good feeling if Accenture can’t even match it. Assuming they give you the lip service that your Accenture network is valuable, I would still make the jump. It’s early in your career so unless if you’re super close with all of the lead MDs, I would jump ship. Accenture will always take you back
That’s fair. Same advice if it was the other way around. Goes to show how similar they are
2 YOE 140k base??? Lol I’m 10 YOE, 145k base at Deloitte. Homegrown
It’s strange times right now I tell ya
Coach
Leave now. Go straight to D. Don’t turn left or right, or stop for gas.
Take the D
You can always go back to Accenture with an even bigger pay bump. They don't wanna give you 140K today, but with the big D...they'll give you way more later.
Jump, never accept a counter
You can always come back to Accenture!
Never take a counter - there was a reason you're leaving in the first place, and their counter is 15k lower lol
IMO head to Daddy D. Money is better, and it’s stupid but Deloitte carries a better rep than Accenture (not that Accenture is bad), but it might open more doors in a few years.
If you like Accenture and have a good network here, I’d take the counter from Accenture.
Did you take the offer OP? You can always go back for more.
Welcome!!
Bet they accepted the Deloitte offer
Coach
In a similar boat and came accords this post. How are things working out OP?
What’s your YOE?
I honestly don’t think wlb will be much different, take Deloitte. Also did D offer you a consultant promotion role? That’s a good salary
Is Deloitte offer a SC role?
D9 you’re thinking Analyst. Deloitte doesn’t normally pay bonuses to Analysts, they start at consultant.
What practice OP???
Jump and leave
HCOL city??
Do you have an mba? What offering in Deloitte?
If you value WLB maybe ACN is the place to stay and work your way to a higher base
Hmmm, nvm take the money and the D.
From a consulting brand perspective, D trumps ACN
Do you value having a life?
Are you SA or C? I’m on a similar boat
