Negotiating a higher salary:

JOB: SEO Specialist
OFFER: 65k with good benefits
EXPERIENCE: 1 year SEO, 3 years data analyst
COUNTER-OFFER: 87k same benefits
REASON 1: programming skills which I use on the job (SQL, R, Google Apps Script). Aka I do more than SEO.
REASON 2: I’ve received multiple other offers for data analyst jobs paying 85k-100k
CONTEXT: I’ve been working with this company as a contractor for about a year now and have really enjoyed it but I want more money! Lol

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Background: got a promotion at current company that didn't come with sufficient increase . After stating my case I was told it would be evaluated next October, which is what prompted the initial job search.

Current TC 103K [88/15], offer 125k base [+discretionary bonus].

Does working in-house in one industry tend to pigeonhole you to that industry or can you lateral between industries relatively easily? Does this depend on the industry? Particularly curious about healthcare, insurance, banking, construction, and logistics as those are the main companies in my city.

I am a Reliability Maintenance 3P contractor for Amazon. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering on June 2022. I’ve been working with Amazon for a year, but there’s a lack of prospective EE positions within the company. The job postings I see are either less or barely above my current salary. I’m not sure if staying longer is beneficial for my future career as an Electrical engineer. I plan on getting my FE license within the next 6 months. Any suggestions will be appreciated

However, it has been a week since anyone responded with the offer letter . I can still see the status against the job id which I applied to , as "final steps are pending" .
