When is the good time to tell the company that I am 3 months pregnant. My date of joining is 18th of July. I understand by law I need to finish 80days with the company before I avail maternity benefits which I can easily do in next 3 months.

You’ve got a couple years till you need to worry about that. Newborn can’t even smile or hold head up, never mind interact with a smart speaker. Maybe at 2+ this could become an issue. Screens however will be the enemy starting early
It's no different than any other toy or previous generation tech (TV, game boy). Set boundaries, teach by example, etc. You'll be fine
Personally my experience is that they will absolutely learn early to talk to Alexa and Google. And they will over use it. Have a neighbor who had a foreign exchange student introduce an Echo. The 5yo couldn't stop asking Alexa to play music, and got very specific. Hello Frozen.
As a technical person who grew up watching digital become a thing and being part of making that happen since 1993 (I was 13), I'm concerned about the security of current home automation devices. And with a kid, do you want her to be able to unlock the front door while you're sleeping? Blast music at all hours of day and night? Change the temperature as well as all the house settings? Turn the light back on after you put him down for the night?
I've opted to go lo-tek with my own home. No smart locks, no smart thermostat, no connected devices. Maybe later when home tech has evolved and is secure I'll do something app based, but will still avoid general solutions that are voice activated throughout the house. Too much risk imho.
