Refer someone and get the bonus
I would think the unlimited PTO was a bigger slap in the face.
You’ve been a staff 2 for 2.5 years? If you don’t get promoted to senior by this year, you might as well go because it’s not looking good. I’ve seen someone stay a staff 2 for like 4 years because the firm didn’t want to promote them but also didn’t want to fire them.
Isn’t it etiquette to get someone flowers before f*cking them?
Kind of like when Amazon was giving thousands of dollars for sign on bonuses but giving current employees $15 gift cards for turkeys at Thanksgiving

Every time I see big 4er complain about their benefits, I hate bdo more lol I would be happy to get a flower or a care package or some gift cards lol 😂 op don’t get me wrong, I understand what you meant, I’m just whining my own frustration.
Maybe just as most people here seem to think they’d be better elsewhere, management has decided better staff are currently elsewhere and they’d like help recruiting them. It also looks like they’re willing to pay for more vetted staff, which could be another sign that recruiting is falling short.
It’s possible that recruitment has tightened some and made it necessary to add another layer of verification before hiring. Replacements costs are expensive, especially if a company continually cycles through people who can’t succeed in the positions.
