No way these European cities are robbing these pay for tax and audit. Heard they are paying 34k pounds for S1 in London???????? 45k as A1 in Helsinki?? I know healthcare is a plus but also heard they have 6-10 month waiting line. So how do people in london even pay rent.

It’s actually normal, American salaries are the outliers

Agree. But london rents are no less

European salaries are just low, surprisingly even in London.
I did a year secondment in London as a Consulting Manager and got paid equivalent of 118k USD, and my salary in the US base plus bonus as a Manager in consulting is 243k USD.

Europe just doesn't pay well, but healthcare is a plus.

I’ve always wanted to be in a position to help my family but we all live in the high COL city so my salary doesn’t carry me as far as it would elsewhere. I’ve given a detailed summary of all of my expenses yet every month one family member in particular comes to me for rent money (not some, the full amount, and they refuse to get a job). It has become quite the burden.

I know this isn’t a marriage therapy bowl, but my husband has a really terrible tendency of saying things like “you’re being really mean” and completely shutting down during a disagreement when i objectively am not being mean, just truthful or vocal about how i feel about something. It’s a really convenient argument for him because it enables him to either be the victim and me the villian, or forces me to concede my stance and not reach a true resolution. Any tips on dealing with the irrational?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
