Hard to say because I’m not too great at budgeting (constantly having outstanding expenses and receivables/intermingling business expense on personal card makes it muddy) but if i were to guess, probably about ~2k

I spend ~2-2.5k a month. That include my gym and I probably eat out at fancy places more than the average person.

Gym- $200
Food - $20/day, $600
Drinks- $50/week, $200
Misc- $50/week, $200

All in, $1200-$1500 depending on how much I treat myself.

$20/day for food in NYC?!

1.5-1.8k, always aiming to keep it on the lower end by cooking dinners and bringing lunch twice a week

24/single and my total monthly discretionary spend is about $1.5k to $2.0k

Gym - $100
Grocery - $400
Dinners/bars/clubs - $500
Dumb stuff on amazon/shopping - $300
Avg. travel/get always - $500
Misc. $200

25, have girlfriend. About 1500-2000

Had anyone here planned a wedding in 3 months or less? Am I crazy? I’m already legally married (small wedding during Covid) but looking to throw a larger celebration of sorts. Originally wanted next spring but my husband and I are wanting to start trying for kids and so I’m leaning this fall or it’ll have to potentially wait until after we have our first kiddo (don’t want to risk a spring date and end up pregnant ha). So is it crazy to think I can plan something for this fall?

I just saw what appeared to be a hot yoga class being taken inside an outdoor dining set up at a local restaurant. They had clear tarps covering the side that would normally be “open air” (ie it was fully enclosed) and additional space heaters running.

I don’t really care what they do but I just had a “c’mon maaaaan” moment. How is this different then doing it inside a yoga studio???

de Blaiso says we’re on track to hit orange zone of restrictions post Thanksgiving which means no more indoor dining among other things.

The metric they are using is % positivity rate.

My question is this - is this a fair metric and if not what is a better metric to compare if it’s getting worse and we need social controls?

I only got tested when I traveled out of state for wedding and thought I was at a high(er) risk for exposure. Tested positive but I was already expecting that. (Contd)
