AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon
I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

You accept what they offer you (if they offer it) and take the promotion. And if they shaft you on the $$$, you kill it for 6 months to a year and go get a new gig elsewhere.
Please make sure you truly and genuinely want to be on the team. Don't just look for a promotion and raise.
Good luck with that, I've just had an AE try to negotiate salary; to which I had to say no, you still have to prove yourself at that level, plus there are standardized salary bands you have to jump through first. Also note - be careful, trying to negotiate too hard at this level, it can make you look immature or that you're ego is too big, which could rub future bosses the wrong way.
You have no leg to stand on after 6 months. Take what they are willing to give you. I know it sounds bleak, but the more experience/category knowledge = the more coins.
just curious, how long were you in the AAE role?
Thanks! I've had seven AAE-ish internships... Hopefully that's some sort of leg. :) For an ag account, and I grew up on a farm! Thinking $52-$56?
I don't know about your agency, but there's no room for negotiation for promotions at Saatchi.
They already know what you make, so I'm guessing if you want the promotion you take what they offer you.
You ask the questions that are important to you, your career, work life balance, client expectations, expectations of you in this role, etc. As far as $$ it doesn't hurt to ask for more, but you need to be realistic. You're still very green and new. There is still lots to learn and you should be humble. (Sidebar: Don't be a fool, but be humble and open).
[Obligatory sarcastic answer] Now that we've got that out of the way...
Six months.
Ask about the work and the clients and why they want you.
Hear the offer and ask for 5k more. Doesn't hurt to at least ask.
