Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

It doesn’t define you, but it can delay things. If you get down a path and realize it’s not the path you wanted at 28-29, it’s not always easy to just make the switch without starting over. But not the end all be all either. Main goal early on is to focus on roles that are growing you and gaining you experience in different areas, so it can expand your option when you want to start narrowing down your longer focus. And if you’re in a role/company that you realize has no growth or can’t reward the value you add, it’s time to move on.
No, your early career doesn't define you. I graduated with a political science degree, didn't take any finance classes in college and now I am a financial advisor at one of the worlds largest investment banking/financial services firms. I was even a realtor at one point lol. If I can make it, you can too!
I’ve had a few different careers. It’s possible.
Any kind of switch or change gets harder as you get older. Get on the track you want to be on as soon as you can.
