We'd save a ton of money if we got rid of our recruiters.
We need to fire a bunch of partners and directors who are costing us more money and than making it. The state of the firm right now really makes me sad. Now some PwC idiot will come and say how his practice is doing great but the point is that the firm overall is doing horribly right now
This is a terribly short-sighted and wrongheaded decision, in my opinion. We may lose out on candidates who are turned off by the impersonal nature of their final interview, especially if some of our competitors continue to meet with candidates in person. In addition, we may wind up extending offers to people who we would have turned down had we met with them in person and been able to read their body language and look into their eyes as they answer questions. It is very difficult to get a sense for a person over a television monitor.
You guys need to worry about retention, not hiring.
Virtual interviewing is good for 1st round. For final, it should be in person.
Not s& - thank god or leadership has some brains... they're begging us to pilot at one school but most partners think it's asinine
Should find the person who came up with this dumb idea and let them go and have a virtual exit interview.
You're about to get an avalanche of uggos and stink-zillas who would have been screened out. Like a gas station attendant said to me yesterday, "that woman smelled like feet and cigarettes"
@p2 more details please. My practice is killing it right now
We sell our people. If we don't invest in hiring good people we'll continue a downward spiral
I couldn't find a dumber idea in recruiting than this.
^outside of forensics that is, where we lead the industry
I hate virtual interview, not everyone is used to looking at him/herself on screen. Makes me nervous.
P8 yes, all three LOS. And P9 completely agreed
Deloitte is doing the same thing. I'm helping out with recruiting. This year for campus recruiting we had the first round in person and then I just heard that the final round will be on HireVue. Talked to someone on the recruiting team and they said "no real point in doing another in-person interview since we've already met them in person last round"
I was just like "wut" 🤔
Virtual interviews suck ass and I suck ass at doing them lol
P2 cyber is good at kool aid, but the practice is not doing well at all.
Our*
This is for campus recruiting?
How do you get involved with recruiting? I need some reinvest.
Yes P3 - DDV is doing great and cybersecurity too. Unfortunately we have a bunch of others who aren't
