"Senior Manager"
Ask for senior manager-3. It'll take time to know your team Dynamics and settle down and at the same time don't wanna be low balled
TAS in EY is a group of college recruits so if you are interested in developing careers of kids out of college then go for it at Senior Manager level I believe you should be motivated to focus on what you want to do and clear with what’s your brand in Consulting.
I feel a manager level may be more appropriate, unless you have prior M&A experience. What I would suggest is negotiate an SM1 salary but come in as an M3. That way they can’t keep you at lvl M for long (get promoted within a year), you don’t have the added sales metrics required by an SM, gives you more runway to build a network become a stronger SM.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. In thinking about salary range from M-3 to SM-1, what would one expect?
I think 160-180k base.
Thanks all for helping. Appreciate all of the feedback
Just accepted the position. Thanks all for the input
