Indeed. Status is valuable if you’re flying Delta domestically. Points less so when you’re vacationing internationally, due to the skypesos thing, but status gives you the multiplier.
OP’s problem is they’re getting on the train late in the game.if this were February they would be an AA convert kicking and screaming in no time.
By the way, OP; this assume decent mileage. If you’re going Chicago to Cedar Rapids and are connecting through Minneapolis, that’s not so great.
Former AA EP for 3 years and made the switch to Delta. Don’t regret it one bit being inconvenienced to go through ATL or DTW almost every time because I’ve been stuck with Delta and AA during winter or delays and Delta is much less of a headache.
How is this even a question?
Always the non-stop.
There’s no way you could have gotten into Harvard
Not if the OP is stuck in SLC after misconnecting with his insistence on flying DL
Are you nuts
I’d take Delta #keepclimbing
Yeah, me too!
Get that delta segments and hit diamond. No brainer screw AA
Is this a joke
Some of y’all are new hires and it shows. Sleep > miles
please just stop talking, a3.
2 connections are the worst and that wake up is what like 3:30 AM?
Also I have Platinum status with Delta and none with AA
Uh pretty much any major consulting firm has these deals, not to mention what you can get as the general public
Everyone on my team does the same thing. They take the Delta flight with the connection rather than the direct AA flight.
So if this is long-term, hell yes switch to AA, short term maybe suffer?? Also depends on how brutal the project is.
AA with status is just like the rest so a status match and you’ll be just fine... delta with no Status is way better than AA with no status so I get the dilemma.
AA has been experiencing significant delays because of issues with their mechanics union so just beware
AA is always Always ALWAYS delayed
...but nonstop or bust
As a Delta Diamond, I’d probably do the Delta flight and catch up on sleep on the first leg. Though if the early mornings started to catch up with me I’d probably throw the direct in there now and then. I would hate to give up Delta status at this point for the AA of all airlines though.
I mean even if the aa flight is delayed, what’s the big deal ? You get to wake up later and more likely than not you will get in before them
fuck AA go delta
Depends on length of project. I unfortunately chose AA because I’m flying into O’Hare for 6-7 months. Not worth the 5 hour journeys just to stay faithful to delta
Geeze. Even a Harvard grad could figure out this dilemma...
Harvard grad at Deloitte. The one and only answer is non-stop. Nothing else matters
Chicago to NWA?
