Hi Capgemini people, Till 15th November we have to declare our vaccination status so that they can plan back to office for the employees who are fully vaccinated or having report of not having covid. I am Fully vaccinated but if I declare that I am partially vaccinated will they get to know my bluff? Actually I am not much interested to go back to office as of now may be in february it will be fine for me

Evercast is expensive but by far the best.
I found evercast to be the absolute worst. My Mac sound like a jet engine when it runs it.
We did an edit via Fax. Was very slow.
Well, the fastest way to edit is unsupervised sessions. But I agree if you want to spend 10 hours watching someone work then in the room is best.
I’ve done interviews on Teams, Zoom and Google. Google was the least reliable for me.
I’ve done Teams, Zoom, Google, WebEx and BlueJeans. Everything was ok especially Zoom & BlueJeans. Normally I like Teams, (app on my phone works fine), but video calls via laptop have been a mess lately.
Editing has been the worst during COVID. Do you all agree? It’s a way slower process and we’ve used all the ways to meet remotely and evercast is the best (if budgets allow). But none are as efficient as being in the room. We’ve gotten used to it. But that is one of the production steps that has not improved.
Agree with this editor 3
Evercast as some have mentioned but it’s pricey. Also would recommend Parsec, if you’re ok with having clients download/sign up for it (it’s free). Once everyone on the team has it it’s very smooth and easy for people to join in for sessions.

A good friend of mine works at Kiswe! You should check them out. They specialize in remote cloud based production
Streambox is kinda a good standard but pricey
PacPost
WebEx has worked better for us than Teams or Google Hangouts. Particularly for those who are a little more “hands on”. Being able to hand them control makes their experience more like being in the room.
frame.io is a great tool for remote edit feedback, or Wiredrive with a video call alongside for a live edit.
I’ve heard a lot of edit houses are cutting back on physical space. What do you guys think will happen post-pandemic? Do you want to see a return to as much in person (supervised) work or does it seem less necessary now?
I think a rush back to the suite. Creatives hate remote editing
I have a vested interest in this but remotefilming.com is pretty well positioned to survive COVID and be part of the post COVID protocols We provide remote streaming for all phases of production. We have clients buying 50 days and using it spread over all stages. One client insists on encrypting everything including casting, location scouting, production and post. I don't see producers hiring Q-take or Terradeckspecialists for prep or post. Nor do I see Zoom quality working for color correction, post or compositing. We stream at 1080 and higher, depending on the internet speeds...
